I created this sculpture at the end of a 20 year old quest that I had to see the entirety of the Orguss series. I had collected toys and art for it for years but the series elluded me, I looked for years for full dvd's and tapes, they were never fully brought to america or translated. I was finally able to see the whole thing thanks to the fansub group Animehaven, and I felt I should mark the occasion in my life by paying homage to the series.
As far as I know there were never any character figures made for this series although there were a great multitude of toys and models for the mecha. I feel that's a great wrong. So, this is my original garage kit of Mimsy, based on an original Mikimoto illustration, that I decided to display in diorama with 2 old repainted toys that I collected in the early 80's.
